Despite all the madness from 2020, we had a great season of fishing with great weather. For those of you who came to fish with me, I'm grateful for your business and happy to provide you with an escape and a sport that wasn't actually cancelled this year.
As we wait impatiently through winter to be able to fish the big water again, we hope you have a good rest of the year and hope to fish with you next season.

Read MoreIt was a very busy summer aboard the Outcast and now unfortunately or charter fishing season out of Port Washington has come to an end. Overall fishing out of Port Washington was decent for most of the summer, however, there were many days where we really had to work hard to get fish.
Thank you to all those that fished aboard the Outcast this past season and I hope to see many of you next year. I'm already looking forward to a successful 2020 charter fishing season.
Included below are some pics from this past season.
Enjoy!
Read MoreThe colder spring lead to a slower than normal start to the Port Washington Charter fishing season. In May we were targeting lake trout due to the cooler than normal water temps and lack of kings and coho salmon. Today, however, we finally had a decent morning with mostly king salmon and and a couple of coho salmon. With the water warming up numbers of coho salmon should be here any day. Below you can check out today’s catch along with some of the bigger kings and lakers we have pulled in.
Read MoreWith July coming to an end, Port Washington Charter fishing has remained fairly consistent. Coho salmon have surprisingly stuck around in good numbers for most of the month and have made up a good part of our catches. There have been some slower trips, but most morning we have been getting double digit catches. We were fishing anywhere from 80 feet of water all the way out to 400 feet with no depth really being consistent. This past week we have been landing a few more Chinook salmon and we are anticipating that this will continue through the end of the month and into August. We have also been getting a few steelhead and some lake trout in the mix but not in any consistent numbers.
This is a great time of the year for big Chinook Salmon out of Port Washington. There have been some reports of Chinooks over 30 pounds caught this summer and we have gotten a few nice ones around the 25 pound range.

Charter fishing out of Port Washington has become a little more challenging this past week, however, we are still bringing in some good mixed bag catches. We have had to work a little harder and fish a lot further out than normal but have been getting a good variety of king salmon, coho salmon, steal head, and lake trout. Now is a great time to get out and see what Lake Michigan charter fishing is all about.
Read MoreIf you want numbers now is time to go charter fishing out of Port Washington. As of this week there are definitely more coho salmon around which can make for some easy limits.
